This Volunteer Program provides a great opportunity to enrich the volunteers' experience in Social Services and develop their skills, while gaining the required knowledge and giving back to the community
Responsibilities
- Works as a Social Worker Assistant under the direct supervision of the section preceptor.
- Assist in conducting patients’ interviews and assist in resolving their social, environmental, financial and emotional difficulties.
- Assist in conducting rounds to address any patients’ psychosocial issues related to hospitalization or treatment and provides patients with needed services and information.
- Assist patients with planning for post-hospital care in cooperation with healthcare team.
- Assist in preparing and providing airfare letters and other applicable referrals as needed.
- Assist in Providing guidance and social support to patients and their families.
- Assist in providing temporary housing facilities to patients as applicable.
- Follow all Hospital related policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all Safety and Infection control practices.

Eligibility
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in Social Work
- Must have a valid Saudi council license.
- Have a communicative level in English Language.
- Able to volunteer for (8) weeks.
- Submit the Health Screening Form.
- Adhere to the following business hours from Sunday - Thursday:
- Working hours: 08:00 am – 04:00 pm * expect Thursdays: 08:00 am - 03:00 pm.
