This program provide volunteer with hands-on experience in the ambulance department, Building manners and professional values, operational readiness, and clinical insight under the mentorship of certified paramedics.
Responsibilities
- Work as a technician or technologist under a direct supervision of the section preceptor.
- Assist in verifying ambulance cleanliness, readiness, oxygen level, fuel, and supplies on daily basis.
- Assist in ensuring the availability and functionality of stretcher, monitor, oxygen tank, suction unit, AED in the ambulance.
- Assist in preforming inventory of medication bags, IV kits, and trauma kits; and report any missing items as applicable.
- Assist in recording Vital Signs (BP, HR, Temp, RR, and SpO₂).
- Assist in retrieving Patient Medical History.
- Assist in preparing the patient for transport and transfer as applicable.
- Assist in documentation and completing all pertaining forms as applicable.
- Assist in providing routine information/ messages as requested.
- Attend a monthly class on EMS basics, documentation and case reviews.
- Follow all Hospital related policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all Safety and Infection control practices.

Eligibility
- Must have a bachelor degree or Associate degree in Emergency Medical Services or its equivalent.
- Must have a valid Saudi Council License.
- Must have a valid Basic Life Support Certificate “BLS”.
- Submit the Health Screening Form.
- Able to volunteer for (6) weeks.
- Must be vaccinated for COVID-19.
- Adhere to the following business hours from Sunday – Thursday.
