This Volunteer Program provides a great opportunity to enrich the volunteers' experience in Respiratory Care Services and develop their skills, while gaining the required knowledge and giving back to the community.
Responsibilities:
- Work as a technician under a direct supervision of the section preceptor.
- Assist in preparing and arranging Pulmonary Function Test “PFT” Supplies.
- Assist in performing non-invasive ventilation “CPAP and BiPAP” on clinically stable patients as assigned.
- Assist in disinfecting and inspecting respiratory care equipment.
- Assist in measuring patients’ parameters “Height and Weight”.
- Assist in preparing supplies such as Traches/Vent/equipment/Consumables prior to Home healthcare visits.
- Assist in moving respiratory medical equipment between the hospital’s areas as applicable.
- Assist in maintaining respiratory store/work rooms in terms of organizing Respiratory medical equipment and supplies.
- Assist the Blood Gas Technician on receiving and re- arranging the supplies.
- Follow all Hospital related policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all Safety and Infection control practices.
- Area of services (Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT), Respiratory Care Clinic, Critical Care Unites).

Eligibility:
- Must have a Bachelor degree in Respiratory Care Or an accredited Saudi Respiratory Program.
- Must have a valid Saudi council license.
- Able to volunteer for (8) weeks.
- Submit the Health Screening Form.
- Must be vaccinated for COVID-19.
- Adhere to the following business hours from Sunday - Thursday:
- Working hours: 08:00 am – 04:00 pm * except Thursdays: 08:00 pm – 03:00 pm.
