Food Services Volunteer Program Overview

This Volunteer Program provides an excellent opportunity to enrich volunteers’ experience in the Food Services field and develop their practical skills and knowledge in hospital food service operations.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist in tray line monitoring and patient meal tray assembly activities.
  2. Assist in checking patient meal trays to ensure compliance with diet orders and meal accuracy.
  3. Support Food Services operations including receiving, storage, food production, and meal distribution.
  4. Assist in maintaining Food Services records and documentation.
  5. Support QR code meal ordering rounds and patient satisfaction activities.
  6. Assist in food temperature monitoring, labeling, and HACCP documentation.
  7. Support hygiene and food safety monitoring activities.
  8. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of Food Services areas.
  9. Follow all hospital policies, Food Safety and HACCP.
  10. Follow all Hospital related policies and procedures.
  11. Adhere to all Safety and Infection control practices.

*The above responsibilities are subject to change according to the operational needs.

Eligibility

  1. Have an educational background in one of the following fields:
  2. ( Bachelor / Associate Degree / Diploma in Nutrition, Food Services, Food Science, or related field.)
  3. Have a communicative level in English language (intermediate level).  
  4. Submit the Health Screening Form.
  5. Able to volunteer for eight (8) weeks.
  6. Adhere to the following business hours from Sunday - Thursday:
  7. Working hours: 08:00 am – 04:00 pm * expect Thursdays: 08:00 am - 03:00 pm.
