Nursing Volunteer Program Overview

This program provide volunteer with hands-on experience in Nursing , Building manners and professional values, operational readiness, and clinical insight under the mentorship of certified professionals.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform assigned nursing duties under the direct supervision of the designated Nurse (RN) or section preceptor.
  2. Assist in delivering basic patient care, including support with personal hygiene, nutrition, and feeding activities as applicable.
  3. Support the monitoring, recording, and reporting of patients’ vital signs, as well as fluid intake and output documentation.
  4. Assist in orienting newly admitted patients and their families to the patient room, unit environment, and available facilities.
  5. Participate in nursing rounds and patient safety initiatives, including Fall Prevention and Hospital-Acquired Pressure Injury (HAPI) prevention programs.
  6. Provide assistance with the safe transportation of patients to diagnostic tests, procedures, and other clinical services.
  7. Promptly report safety, security, environmental, or supply-related concerns to the Head Nurse or designated supervisor.
  8. Respond appropriately to patients’ calls and requests, ensuring timely communication with the assigned nursing staff.
  9. Escalate and communicate patient and family concerns to the assigned nurse in a timely and professional manner.
  10. Provide administrative and clerical support to the nursing unit as assigned.
  11. Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and all professional communications in accordance with hospital policies.
  12. Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  13. Adhere to all patient safety, infection prevention, and infection control protocols.

Eligibility

  1. Must have a bachelor degree in nursing.
  2. Must have a valid professional classification and licensure as a Registered Nurse from (SCFHS).
  3. Submit the Health Screening Form.
  4. Able to volunteer for (8) weeks.
  5. Flexible to work from Sunday – Thursday:
  6. Working hours: Working hours: 07:30 am – 04:30 pm * Except Thursdays: 07:30 pm – 03:30 pm
