Patient Education in Genetic Counseling Volunteer Program Overview

This Volunteer Program provides a great opportunity to find out more about working in a healthcare environment, developing their skills and experience in the education related to Genetic counselling.

Responsibilities

1. Work as patient educator under direct supervision of the section preceptor.
2. Provide assistance to genetic counselors as needed.
3. Assist in providing patient and family with the needed education for genetic counselling purposes.
4. Assist in providing the best-targeted education as needed.
5. Facilitate the process of patient’s family genetic testing.
6. Follow all Hospital related policies and procedures.
7. Adhere to all Safety and Infection control practices.

Eligibility

1. Must have a Bachelor degree in(Health Education, Nursing,Health Allied Field or other related field).
2. Have a communicative level in English language (intermediate level).
3. Able to volunteer for (8) weeks.
4. Must be vaccinated for COVID-19.
5. Adhere to the business hours from Sunday through Thursday.
6. Working hours: 08:00 am – 04:00 pm.
